  • “Dial-a-Ride Service” provides users with point-to-point transportation services to facilitate users in attending medical appointments and participating in social activities 

  • “Pooled Dial-a-Ride Service” provides users with scheduled ride-sharing services on weekly basis to facilitate users in commuting between schools, workshops and residences 

  • “Scheduled Route Service” provides users with scheduled transportation services during weekday mornings and peak hours in the evenings to facilitate users in commuting between workplaces, schools and rehabilitation centres

  • It provides users with transportation services to facilitate commute between hospitals under Hospital Authorities/ Department of Health and participating social activities during weekends and special holidays 

  • A referral form should be filled by social worker for the elderly and the disabled who are exempted from service fee, please contact the service hotline for enquiries)

  • Caring Van is equipped with 12 seats and 3 wheelchair seats, tail lift and wheelchair safety locks for users

  • It aims to provide elderly with transportation services to facilitate commute between hospitals and clinics. Note that users are required to register to become a member and make reservation for the rides

  • It aims to provide free transportation services for residents in the Southern District who have difficulty in walking and their caregivers in order to facilitate commute between public hospitals and medical institutions

  • Rehab bus service hour: Monday to Friday except public holidays

  • Reservation: 

    • For Circular Service Routes, eligible users are advised to make reservations through the service hotline or mobile application 7 days to 2 hours before using the service

    • Passengers without booking can also choose to queue up at the station, subject to seat availability, however, the priority will be given to passengers with a booking

    • For Share-Ride Service, eligible users shall call the service hotline for reservation

Public transportation
  • Airport Express and MTR

    • ​All MTR stations are equipped with accessible facilities such as elevators; wheelchair users can also request the use of portable ramps to connect the platform with the train. Additionally, there are designated space for wheelchair users and priority seats for those in need.

  • Most of the buses are equipped with ramps and designated space for wheelchair users to facilitate boarding, additionally, priority seats are provided for those in need.

  • Certificate for Picking Up or Setting Down of Passengers with Disabilities in Restricted Zones

    • Passengers with disability can board and alight from a taxi, private car, private light bus or private bus in restricted zones except expressways and 24 hours restricted zones, provided that no hazard or major disruption is caused to other road users, by presenting a "Certificate for Picking Up or Setting Down of Passengers with Disabilities in Restricted Zones" to the driver.

  • Disabled Person’s Parking Permit

    • Permit holders are exempted from payment of parking charges for using an on-street metered parking space

    • Permit holders are permitted to park at a designated disabled parking space

    • Permit holders are granted half-fare concessions on parking charges for using a designated parking space in any of the Government multi-storey car parks under the management of Transport Department

  • Parking Certificate for Drivers Who Carry People with Mobility Disabilities

    • Certificate holders may park their vehicles at designated parking spaces inside government multi-storey car parks managed by the Transport Department and on-street parking spaces designated for the disabled
